Until you are asked to become aware of your breathing you don’t notice each breath, the air simply goes in through your nose or mouth as your chest moves with each inhalation and exhalation.
By raising this topic, I have brought your breathing into your conscious awareness. As you continue reading and you forget to notice your breathing again, it slips back out of your awareness along with the other processes which run your body.
Do you consciously know when it’s time for you to feel thirsty?
Do you need a degree in anatomy and physiology before you can attempt to raise your own arm consciously? This just goes to show that your unconscious mind runs your body, outside of your conscious awareness.
Not only does your unconscious mind control the running of your body, it can also have a tremendous impact on the results you get in your life. Have you ever wanted to do something consciously, to achieve a goal, but ended up procrastinating or doing something totally different instead?
The unconscious mind is a concept almost everyone talks about. However, most of us don’t understand its real meaning. We’re also not really aware of its importance.
“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
-Carl Gustav Jung-
In this workshop, we will uncover the iceberg beneath the surface, learn what is truly directing our attention and how we we understand our procrastination and the formation of beliefs in more depth.
